Workshop on Modeling and Analysis of Complex Reaction Networks (MACoRN 2012)
In conjunction with MMB&DFT 2012
March 21, 2012 in Kaiserslautern (Germany)
SCOPE
The intention of this workshop is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for researchers interested in modeling and analysis of complex reaction networks by bringing together mathematicians, computer scientists, biologists, and other natural scientists. In particular, major aspects of the workshop topic, similarities as well as important dierences to modeling and analysis of computer systems should be introduced to the audience of MMB & DFT 2012 in order to facilitate discussions and exchange of ideas.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
The workshop is focused on stochastic approaches to efficient modeling and analysis of complex reaction networks which are constituted by populations of molecular species interacting through coupled biochemical reactions. Stochastic and hybrid modeling approaches are covered as well as stochastic (Monte Carlo) simulation, and numerical analysis. This includes Markovian models, stochastic dierential equations, accelerated stochastic simulation algorithms, model reconstruction, efficient parameter identication and estimation.
INVITED SPEAKERS
In the course of the workshop three invited talks will be presented by the following speakers.
Frank Allgöwer, University of Stuttgart
Tugrul Dayar, University of Bilkent (Turkey)
András Horváth, University of Torino (Italy)
